Question by Patricia S: What is the best clothes to wear to keep warm this winter…..?
I almost froze last winter, just couldn’t keep warm. One problem is, I don’t have much fat on my body. I live in California and we are not used to the cold, winters are much colder than in the past. Winter nears again, gads…Is there a certain type of thermal clothing, what type of socks, etc…

I live in Alberta Canada and I always say the three staples for winter are; Lululemon, Carhart and Fox!
Best of luck to you and do your best to keep warm, layer a therm with a hoodie…and you’ll be good to go!
Take care and keep warm, your right the winter in Cali last year was a bit harsh hey? We worked there in January and I thought it was going to be a nice time but nope….there I was; Lululemon, Carhart and Fox

I prefer silk long underwear. It is very comfortable, fits well under clothing, and keeps me nice and warm.
I don’t care about how I feel as far as attractiveness is concerned. I want to be comfortable and happy. I wear pajama bottoms, two pairs of pants or thermal pants, pajama tops or two pairs of long pants, and one or more pairs of cotton gloves, two or three pairs of lightweight socks, boots (waterproof) with Scotchgard sprayed on them and a headscarf with neck wrapping. Also, I wear an extra skull cap. This ‘put together’ has kept me warm. I have also used public transportation and have kept ‘travel maps and schedules’ on me. This is important so that ‘wait time’ for the bus won’t be too long. Lucky me, if a friend with a car appears. This is more of an unexpected situation than a normal day’s routine. Also, I have found Lands End products to be excellent, yet they are very expensive for my pockets. Sears stores are now the owners of these products. You can purchase them there or through their website.
